M.P. Power Generating Company Limited, incorporated under the Companies Act’ 1956 as a successor power generating company of M.P. State Electricity Board (MPSEB), is having an installed capacity of 3847.5 MW in its Thermal and Hydel power stations located at various places in the State of M P. The Company has undertaken execution of Coal based Thermal Power Projects for capacity addition of around 1700 MW in near future:

Executive Trainee:

Pay Scale:-
1· The Executive Trainees on successful completion of training shall be inducted in the Company in the pay scale of (PB3) Rs. 15600-39100 plus Rs 5400 Grade Pay.

Junior Engineer (Trainee):-

Age: Min 18 years & Max 27 years as on 1.9.2010
Pay Scale:-
The Junior Engineer (Trainee) on successful completion of training shall be inducted in the Company in the pay scale of. (PB2) Rs. 9300-34800 plus Rs 4100 Grade Pay.
Qualification:-
Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics / Instrumentation/ Electronics & Telecommunication / Electronics & Electrical Engineering. High School Certificate and ITI Trade Certificate in Mechanist/ Fitter/ Welder/ HP Welder / Mechanic Pump/ Mechanic Vehicle from institute recognized By Go MP

Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee:-

Age: Min 18 years & Max 27 years as on 1.9.2010
Pay Scale:-
The Plant Assistant (ITI) Trainee shall be inducted in the Company in the pay scale of (PB1) Rs. 5200-20200 plus Rs 2500 Grade Pay. In addition to above, DA and other benefits etc. shall also be applicable as per rules. The appointed Assistant Engineer, Junior Engineers & Plant Assistant, shall be eligible for the Defined Contributory Pension Scheme.
Qualification:-
High School Certificate and ITI Trade Certificate in Electrician/ Wireman/ Mechanic/ Motor/ Mechanic Diesel/ Electronics/ Instrumentation from institute recognized By GoMP

Selection:-
The eligible candidates will have to undertake a written test comprising of questions in related discipline, Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge, quantitative aptitude, etc. at test centers in Jabalpur, Indore, Bhopal and Gwalior. The written test is likely to be held in the month of October/ November 2010. The number of cities / centers for written test and the date of written test may change on the discretion of MPPGCL. Candidates have to fill two preferences for Test Cities and no request for change, in any circumstances, will be considered subsequently. Based on the requirement & merit, the successful candidates will be called for Personal interview at Jabalpur for final selection.

Eligible candidate have to apply through the Application Format available on web site of MPPGCL, www.mppgenco.nic.in, with a Demand Draft/Pay Order/Banker Cheque of Rs. 500/- (Rs. Five hundred) only payable in favour of Sr.Accounts Officer (COG&HS) MPPGCL, Jabalpur and payable at Jabalpur, as examination fee for General & OBC candidate. However SC/ ST candidates are exempted from examination fee of Rs. 500/-. The application complete in all respect with copies of required certificates and Demand Draft/Pay Order/Banker Cheque as examination fee shall be submitted to the following address on or before 23 -08-2010. Notes:-
1. Only Indian Nationals need apply.
2. Candidates working in Govt. / Semi Govt. / Public Sector should apply ‘through proper channel’.
3. Working employees of MPSEB/MPPGCL may also apply for any post as per eligibility criteria. No age limit is applicable for departmental candidates.
4. Reservations for SC, ST and OBC (non creamy layer only) categories are meant for candidates of SC/ST/OBC (non creamy layer only) categories as specified in respect of State of MP only. Such candidates should submit a copy of the caste certificate as per existing rules of Govt. of M.P., in the prescribed formats, while applying.
5. No examination fee shall be payable by SC/ST candidates .
6. Any disputes arising out of the selection process will be dealt within the jurisdiction of Jabalpur Courts only. In case of any dispute, the decision of the MPPGCL shall be binding and final for all practical purposes.
7. All SC/ ST candidates shall be reimbursed to and fro II class Rail fare/ Bus fare by the shortest route for appearing in the written test and personal interview (as per rule) limited to the distance of the test centre from the address for communication mentioned in their applications or from where they have actually performed the journey, whichever is minimum, on submission of original ticket.
8. Candidates having a third child born on or after 26.01.2001, are not eligible to apply.
9. A candidate can apply for one post one subject only.
10. The Candidate must possess sound health.

Reporting to the Head of Department – Business Planning & Forecasting, the job holders role will be to provide simple and easy to understand, analytical and insightful financial support and information for all internal business decisions by partnering with the different divisions in a proactive manner to drive faster turnaround of product offerings, capital investments and enhanced benchmarking for key business activities & processes.

The job holder’s key responsibilities will be to:

  • Establish a project methodology with stakeholders across the business to ensure any input required from decision support is well thought through, is timely and built into all project deliverables.
  • Manage and track post project implementation to ensure returns as anticipated during project formulation are achieved.
  • Develop and enhance the capital budgeting model to make it easy to review and use.
  • Ensure ROI for all asset categories is properly defined and enhanced to drive returns for capital investments
  • Attend all CDI monthly review meetings on behalf of Business Planning & Forecasting to ensure development of the budget plan takes into consideration issues highlighted under CDI as requiring improvement and their impact on the budget.
  • Implement procedures to drive timely comparison and reconciliation of information received from various systems that are used in statistical reporting from the Business intelligence system.
  • Manage implementation of all new processes introduced within the department in line with ISO standards.
  • Review all information security protocols regarding access and use of information generated from business planning for security and align the risk information plans to recommended standards by the risk management division.
  • Represent the Business Planning & Forecasting department in the launch of new products and identify areas where integration of information into the Business Intelligence system will be required.
  • Manage and develop staff reporting to you.
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and Competencies:
  • Qualified Accountant with CPA (K)/ACCA/CIMA/ACA with an honors degree from a recognized university; OR a reputable internationally recognized 1st degree but with an MBA /CFA /IT qualification;
  • 5-7 years accounting experience in an international company or FMCG;
  • A minimum of 2 years management experience with exposure in overseeing business analytics and projects investment;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management;
  • Thorough understanding of the International Financial Reporting Standards and experience in application and enforcement of the standards at the workplace;
  • Ability to lead and co-ordinate projects to completion;
  • Ability to critically analyze processes and systems for enhancement of efficiencies and performance;
  • Experience in planning and budgeting with a clear demonstration of strong analytical ability;
  • Experience in corporate reporting for financial and management information;
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications is a must; with a working knowledge of a computerized accounting system preferably Oracle applications;
  • Self- drive for results;
  • Ability to influence and advise stakeholders, peers and the Safaricom Executive Committee EXCO;
  • Good problem solving, analytical and decision making skills;
  • A highly credible, strategic focused individual;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High level of Initiative and self-drive; a team player.

TI-Kenya is looking for a strategic thinker with strong programme management skills and a focus on results to fill the position of Deputy Executive Director and Head of Programmes.
Reporting to the Executive Director, the successful candidate will:
  • Provide technical advice and support to governance and policy institutions, donors and partners on strategy and policy development and implementation;
  • Take responsibility for development of programmes/ projects in line with strategic goals, effectively manage programme budgets and co-ordinate programme activities; and
  • Provide technical input in the development and review of citizen demand strategies locally, nationally and internationally.

  • Take the lead in fundraising to ensure sustained funding of TI-Kenya programmes and operations;
  • Manage all reporting activities including consolidation of narrative reports, and ensuring adherence to deadlines and donor requirements;
  • Provide technical support in development of opportunities to facilitate internal and partner learning and
  • Support the continued maintenance of collaborative relationships with partners.
Requirements
We wish to discuss this position with highly skilled and motivated professionals who hold a Masters degree in Social Sciences or related discipline; have at least 8 years proven experience in programme management in a non-governmental organisation, and in addition possess:
  • A strong commitment to the aims, objectives and values of TI- Kenya;
  • Sound knowledge in results based management;
  • Experience in conceptualising, implementing and evaluating programmes. Candidates with experience in governance will have an added advantage.
  • Strong research and advocacy skills;
  • Strong leadership, management and relationship building skills; and
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, reporting and presentation skills.
